Terry Charles

Experience-Based Training Rooted in Real Investigations and Real Risk.

Terry Charles is a law enforcement professional and co-founder of Texas Training Group, bringing over 10 years of detective experience in a major metropolitan agency in the Dallas area. His career has included assignments at the street-level and mid-level investigative units, as well as time spent as a clandestine lab detective working complex narcotics investigations.

Terry has worked alongside state and federal partners, gaining extensive experience in undercover operations, surveillance, and tactical operations such as warrant service and high-risk enforcement. He later served as an undercover training coordinator, where he helped develop and deliver courses ranging from basic and advanced undercover operations to surveillance, undercover rescue, tracker installation, and warrant preparation.

Today, Terry focuses on delivering realistic, scenario-based training designed to prepare officers for the challenges of plainclothes and undercover work. His instruction emphasizes practical decision-making, communication, and team coordination under stress — skills that directly translate to real-world operations.
